The advantage of using fixed wheels in combination with swivel castors is easy to see when using a transport trolley. The transport trolley is easy to steer because of the swivel wheels, but because of the fixed castors, it also keeps good direction. Indeed, without fixed castors, the trolley will break out more quickly and will require continuous steering. So in case you need to drive over longer distances, it is definitely advisable to also use fixed castors.
